Getting Started

Getting started with FlexDex comprises two simple steps.

Training – Although training is not required, it is strongly recommended. Surgeons who commit to product training tend to have an accelerated learning curve. There is no cost for the course. However, surgeons are responsible for travel and hotel accommodations. Many participants fly in and out the same day.

Product training requires a 3-4 hours commitment and is comprised of the following three stages:

  1. Basic Device Function – Participants will learn the nomenclature of FlexDex and its mechanical functions.
  2. Open Box Training exercises – Participants will learn to combine forearm, wrist and finger movement to perform basic and procedure simulated exercises while maintaining an ergonomic position.
  3. 2D training exercises – You will repeat the open box training exercise in a 2D environment.

Product Approval – It’s important you apply what you will learn right away and are confident your hospital or surgery center will purchase FlexDex before you commit to the product training course. We recommend you have a discussion with your administrator prior to enrolling in a course. Please initiate the new product approval process by emailing carla.cameron@flexdex.com.

Please note, FlexDex is currently only available for sale within the United States to approved facilities.
