FLEXDEX PROMOTIONAL PRICING COMES TO A CLOSE
Future sales subject to list price
Brighton, Michigan: FlexDex Surgical announced today that the promotional pricing offered on its needle driver has officially come to a close. Any new purchases will be subject to the company’s current pricing.
FlexDex Surgical’s first device, a wrist-mounted needle driver with robotic functionality, was introduced to the market in January 2017. Since that time the company has experienced dramatic growth in domestic sales and is currently working toward an international launch.
Response from the surgeon community points to continued positive growth. When asked about his experience with FlexDex, Dr. Kent Bowden replied, “I think FlexDex will do for laparoscopy what laparoscopy did for general surgery.” Dr. Bowden is a general surgeon in Cadillac Michigan and one of the first surgeons to transform his practice using the device.
About FlexDex: FlexDex Surgical http://www.flexdex.com is developing the FlexDex platform to provide surgeons with high performance and cost effective minimally invasive surgical instruments. The company’s focus is to enable advanced minimally invasive procedures with greater precision and less fatigue. FlexDex was developed at the University of Michigan by co-founders Shorya Awtar, Sc.D., James Geiger, MD and Greg Bowles. This platform technology enables highly intuitive, one-to-one mapping of the surgeon’s arm and hand motions to the articulating instrument inside the patient’s body. The patented “Virtual Center™” of the FlexDex platform is a simple mechanical design that, we believe, will greatly enhance the capabilities of all Minimally Invasive Surgical (MIS) instruments and endoscopes.
